The government-funded Regional Terminal at Faleolo, valued at $25 million, was officially opened on October 2024, marking a significant milestone in strengthening global connectivity and supporting economic growth.The new terminal will serve flights from American Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tuvalu, Niue, and the Cook Islands, in addition to domestic inter-island services. Featuring state-of-the-art facilities, the terminal has been designed to enhance Samoa’s role as a regional hub for travel, trade, and tourism. The official opening was presided over by Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataʻafa and attended by government officials, key stakeholders, and development partners.
